Croeso i Hafan / Welcome to Hafan

In Hafan, we are proud to be part of Ysgol Gymraeg Nant Gwenlli's Learning Resource Base. Our classroom provides a calm, supportive and nurturing environment where pupils can learn, grow and succeed at their own pace. 

We focus on developing skills through engaging activities, sensory experiences and personalised learning. Our aim is to create a happy, safe space where every child feels valued and encouraged.

PE Days: Monday and Thursday

Reading Books: Changed every Tuesday (if applicable)

 

Breakfast

We have a class breakfast every morning at 10am. There will be a choice of toast and cereals such as Weetabix, Corn Flakes and Rice Krispies, as well as fruit juice and milk. 

Snack

Children are welcome and encouraged to bring a pot of fruit or veg as an afternoon snack as well as a named water bottle.

Carousel System

In Hafan, we use a carousel system where 3 different tasks happen simultaneously. The tasks include 1 literacy task, 1 numeracy task and an independent task. Pupils will rotate throughout the day.

9am - Arrive, Register and out to play.

9.25am - Sensory Circuit

9.50am - Attention Intervention

10am - Breakfast

10.35am - 1st Carousel

11.30am - Lunch Time

 

Afternoon Routine

12.30pm - Calming the senses following lunch time

12.45pm - 2nd Carousel

2pm - 3rd Carousel

2.45pm - Home Time Arrangements

3pm - Home Time
