Welcome to Ysgol Gymraeg Nant Gwenlli's Rising 3 Class!

We are the smallest people in Nant Gwenlli. Small and mighty and eager to learn.

Our Nursery is a vibrant, nurturing space where our youngest learners explore, discover and grow through rich, hands-on experiences. We often cook, (sometimes over the fire pit in our Forest School and sometimes in our classroom kitchen) giving children meaningful opportunities to develop independence, confidence and practical life skills.

Communication and numeracy are woven naturally into everyday play, with children counting, talking, problem-solving and collaborating as part of their real-world exploration. Our learners use their curioristy and investigative skills across all aspects of school life, developing a strong sense of belonging and wellbeing.

As the Forest School Lead for Ysgol Gymraeg Nant Gwenlli, our class benefits from weekly Forest School sessions that deepen connection with nature, build resilience and celebrates child-led learning.

Current Theme: Marvellous Minibeasts. We will be learning about all things bugs and their importance to our environment.

Numeracy: Counting & Recognising Numbers

Literacy: Yellow Tric a Chlic letters, Minibeast vocabulary and retelling stories.

Project: Minibeast Habitats & the importance of insects in our environment.
