Cei Bach

Welcome to the Cei Bach class!

We are looking forward to a term full of fun, play and learning together. In our class, we place the child at the heart of everything we do, nurturing independence, curiosity and a love of learning through meaningful experiences and play. We value every child as an individual and work closely with families to ensure the best possible experiences for every learner. Our teaching approach is based on play, nature, belonging and developing the Welsh language every day.

The Team

Miss Lewis – Class Teacher
Miss Thomas & Miss Osland – Teaching Assistants

Theme: Belonging – This Is Me and My World

During the autumn term, we will focus on helping the children feel happy, safe and part of the Little Quay community. We will learn about ourselves, our families, our friends and our interests, while also exploring the changes that take place during autumn and the natural world around us. We will also celebrate seasonal events such as Harvest, Bonfire Night, Children in Need and Christmas.

What will the children learn?

The children will:

• Learn about their identity and their families.
• Develop their Welsh language skills through songs, stories and play.
• Explore the seasons and the changes that occur in nature.
• Develop early literacy skills through Tric a Chlic.
• Develop numeracy skills through practical maths activities and songs.
• Learn through play, investigation and problem-solving.
• Develop their independence, confidence and social skills.
